Cardano is a smart contract platform, with a focus on security through a layered architecture. The self-described “third generation blockchain” is the first of its kind to be created from scientific philosophy and built on peer-reviewed academic research. Cardano is a different approach to crypto currency. Using a scientific approach focused on three design principles:

Environmental Movement Donations Click one of the links below to learn more about our mermaid lead initiatives and what we are doing to improve the world. Our pool earns 1% commission from rewards that we earn together. It is common for this fee to be much higher at other pools. We divide our commission between the following programs.
Coral reefs are complex and ancient habitats. They have been a feature of life on Earth for around 500 million years. They are a critical component of life in the ocean. Often referred to as “rainforests of the sea,” coral reef ecosystems are one of the most biodiverse in the world. Around 25% of all marine species rely on coral reefs, including sharks and sea turtles, crustaceans, and schooling fish. But we currently stand to lose all shallow-water coral reefs by the end of this century.
This is why every month we donate 15% of our 1% commission to the Coral Restoration Foundation. Click another creature above to learn about additional organizations we support.
The Great Lakes are massive and awe inspiring. But, they are at risk if we do not take care of them. Mermaids are especially aware of the need for the Great Lakes protection movement. We appreciate those who lead the way, making sure the health of the lakes is a priority when policy-makers are writing new laws and enforcing current ones. They need our help. From toxic algae blooms to invasive species, they can’t protect the Great Lakes alone.
This is why every month we donate 15% of our 1% commission to the Great Lakes Alliance. Click another creature above to learn about additional organizations we support.
Of all the threats facing the oceans today, overfishing takes the greatest toll on sea life — and people. Overfishing is catching too many fish at once, so the breeding population becomes too depleted to recover. Overfishing often goes hand in hand with wasteful types of commercial fishing that haul in massive amounts of unwanted fish or other animals, which are then discarded. As a result of prolonged and widespread overfishing, nearly a third of the world’s assessed fisheries are now in deep trouble — and that’s likely an underestimate, since many fisheries remain unstudied.

Our ocean and its inhabitants are dying from overfishing and habitat destruction. Poachers plunder marine life sanctuaries with impunity, and illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing goes unchecked in the high seas far from public scrutiny. International and national laws protecting the world’s oceans are difficult to enforce. Sea Shepherd uses direct action to defend marine life on the high seas and works with national authorities to tackle illegal fishing in sovereign waters.
This is why every reward cycle we donate 15% of our 1% commission to Sea Shepherd. Click another creature above to learn about additional organizations we support.
Why are we still putting whales and dolphins in small tanks for entertainment? These highly intelligent individuals should not suffer for human “fun”. You can help end the cruel exploitation of whales and dolphins in marine parks around the world. What is life like for a captive whale or dolphin? Kidnapped, imprisoned and forced to perform, life for a captive whale or dolphin is hell. For an individual who is used to swimming hundreds of miles a day, a tank is a prison cell. Whales and dolphins live in complex social and family groups – with generations often staying together their whole lives. Life in an aquarium can mean separation from families, disruption of social bonds, and even being kept alone.
This is why every month we donate 15% of our 1% commission to the Whale and Dolphin Conservation. Click another creature above to learn about additional organizations we support.
Sea turtles are large, air-breathing reptiles that inhabit tropical and subtropical seas throughout the world. Their shells consist of an upper part (carapace) and a lower section (plastron). Hard scales (or scutes) cover all but the leatherback, and the number and arrangement of these scutes can be used to determine the species. Sea turtles come in many different sizes, shapes and colors. The olive ridley is usually less than 100 pounds, while the leatherback typically ranges from 650 to 1,300 pounds! The upper shell, or carapace, of each sea turtle species ranges in length, color, shape and arrangement of scales.
